Looking to the Future

Welcome to the Lions of Georgia District 18-B Website.

On behalf of all the Lions of District 18-B, I want to welcome you to our web page and I hope you will take a few minutes to surf what we have to offer.

Our great district is a diverse blend of hospitable Lions extending from the eastern lowlands of the Atlantic coast to the Savannah River in the north and the Florida border in the south.  To the west we include the fertile farm lands and timber country of south central Georgia.  Important features in our district include the Kings Bay Naval Base which is home to the finest nuclear submarine fleet of the US Navy and Fort Stewart, the largest military reservation east of the Mississippi River and home to the 3rd Infantry Division of the US Army.  Savannah is the hub of the Coastal Empire and also home to two full universities, Armstrong-Atlantic State University and Savannah State University.  Statesboro and Bulloch County are home to Georgia Southern University and their national champion Class AA football team while Douglas is home to South Georgia College.  Vidalia is the center of the famous Vidalia Sweet Onion growing area and Kingsland hosts an annual crawfish festival drawing people from all over the southeastern United States.

Our district covers 27 counties, has 46 clubs, 3 Leo Clubs, and over 1,200 Lions and Leos.  We are the home district of the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind which is located next to beautiful Laura S. Walker State Park just outside the city of Waycross.

We are proud of our southern heritage and our hospitality.  We welcome you to view our sparkling beaches, stately oaks, towering pines and cypress and our gorgeous azaleas, magnolias and dogwoods.  We extend to you a warm and sincere welcome to visit at any time and we would be pleased for you to stay and become one of us!  It's a great time to be a Lion in District 18-B!
