EACH LIONS AND LIONESS CLUB IS ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT A RECOMMENDATION.

1.  This Award is presented to a hearing impaired person (not necessarily a Lion), residing in the State of Georgia, whose outstanding achievements and contributions are an inspiration to others.

2.  Recommendations must be made by a Lions or Lioness Club, giving full biographical data on the Nominee and stating clearly the basis on which the Club is making its nomination.

3.  All informational material must set out plainly the depth and scope of the accomplishments or services, and the period the services have been rendered or the general effect on the Community of the achievement.

4.  The original of the recommendation must be sent to the Chairman of the Outstanding Deaf Award Committee (listed below); AND

One copy to your District’s Committee Member;

One copy to your District Governor;

One copy to the State Office;

 5.  All nominations to be considered must be in the hands of the Outstanding Deaf Award Chairman not later than April 15, 2012. Decisions of the Committee are final.

 6. An Award Plaque will be presented to the winner during the 2012 Georgia Lions State Convention

 7.  The Recipient will be presented the Plaque and given a Man and Lady’s Hospitality Book by the Council of Governors. All other expenses connected with his or her attendance at the Georgia Lions State ( must be borne by the Club which made the nomination, or by the Awardee.

 8.  Copies of all the Nominations will be furnished each Committee Member by the Chairman. The Awardee will be selected by vote of the Committee. The Chairman will notify the Club submitting the winning entry; each District Committee Chairman will notify Clubs submitting nominations from their District the outcome of the Committee’s selection.

 9. The Award Plaque will be secured by the State Office and be on hand for presentation during the Lions State Convention.
